Helpful Hints for Posting a Message

Welcome to all new Bloggers.  If you are reading this message you should give yourself a big
 "pat on the back."  Then wrap your arms around yourself and squeeze.  You have completed the most difficult part of blogging!  That is getting on the Blog.  Bob (Konsela, Joe's son), you could have stayed up all night and still not have figured out how to post a picture.  You simply cannot post a picture in a comment or a reply (unless you've had some training in html).

I'm so glad, Bob, that you noted that you were having trouble posting a picture.  I know there are/will be others who may also appreciate a few hints.  So here goes:

1.  Log into your gmail account - the one you set up when you accepted the invitation to the Blog.

2.  Then, open a new tab (window) and type in konselacousinsgathering.blogspot.com to access the Blog.

3. When the Blog appears you will see, in large print, KONSELA COUSIN GATHERING.  Directly above that you will see a blue bar that spans the screen.  Look at the far right.  You should see your email address and the words New Post.  You are now ready to post. 

4.  Click on New Post.

5.  Near the top you will see a place to type a title for your post.  Go ahead and do that.

6.  Then click in the text (typing) box and type away.

7.  When you have finished typing, click the bright orange button that says Publish.

When you want to post a picture, follow steps 1-5 above.

Step 6:  Above the box where you type the message, you will see a little icon (symbol) that looks like a framed picture.  Click on it.
7.  Then click on browse.  You will need to browse to where you have your photo stored.  That MIGHT look something like, My Computer, My Pictures, maybe a folder, and then the photo that you actually want to include in your new post.  (You will probably need to double click on the photo or photo title.)  The photo may take a minute or two to load.  When it is loaded, it will have a blue box around it to show that it is selected)
8. Click on Add Selected.  The picture will automatically be put in the text box on the Blog.  If you want to write something about the picture, just click above or below it, and type away.

Then click Publish.
